SUBU Summer Ball – Bournemouth University
At the end of the year, Bournemouth University puts on a a Summer Ball which is more like a festival, where all the students dress up as anything they want and spend the whole day partying. This year the line up was not as good, last year they had Chase & Status and My Nu Leng! But this year they had MK, Friction and a couple other DJs. The whole event was put on amazingly, although it was quite small it was like a festival. They had lots of different dance tents including a Bestival, Foreverland and Apple Bum stage.
As you can see, myself and 4 other girls dressed up as eggs. It sounded like a good idea and we got a lot of compliments but it was absolutely boiling. By the time it got to me taking off my egg and wearing my Topshop glittery dress, I was so sweaty it didn’t look good, haha!
The whole day was absolutely amazing, the best send of to first year with all my friends – I couldn’t ask for a better group of people at University!
Roll on the rest of the Summer!!
On Saturday night I went out in Bristol for my friend Chloe’s 19th birthday so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you all what I wore. I decided on something completely different for this night out as I am trying to expand on the things I wear.
This Multi Coloured, Poker Dot, flowy dress is from TopShop and I bought it while I was shopping with my brother Jack in Taunton the other day. I liked this style of dress as I thought it would be perfect for the Summer and it is something completely different. It was on £26 and for TopShop I thought that was amazing so I did not have a choice but to buy it. I wore this with my White Nike Air Force trainers as the club is not dressy at all and I wore a leather jacket on top.
For Chloes birthday we got a mini bus (well a coach) to SWX in Bristol. I have never been there before so it was a good change and a nice way to spend the bank holiday weekend. Especially as we were with everyone.
I spent Easter Sunday this year working at my old pub as they needed help so my Easter this year was not too exciting, how has your weekend been?
I took a lot of photos on my birthday night out on the Huji Camera app, and when I woke up the next day with a run over phone and no way to access the app I was so upset, haha! Recently this Huji camera has become massive across the Instagram community. For ages I have wanted an app on my phone which can turn pictures into disposable photos. The reason I love this app is because it can make any photo look good without having to try.
This ism last post about my 20th birthday. It was a great weekend and it is nice that I am able to share it all with you. I feel like since being at University a lot of my blog post are based around nights out, which I want to change and being at home for 3 weeks gives me the chance to do that.
I hope you like this style of post, it is a way of me sharing lots of photographs but not taking up lots of space.
