from a devil to an angel

Halloween 2018

This year I did not go out on actual halloween as it was on a Wednesday and I had a presentation at 9:00AM the next day. But instead I went out on the Friday and Saturday before hand and dressed up as a devil one night and an angel the other – how original!

On Friday 26th October i went to a house party at my friends house. I am wearing devil horns from Wilko, matching with my friends Carolina and Kimia. I am then wearing a nice black dress from Misguided. On Saturday 27th October I went to block party in Bournemouth where you hop from club to club to watch different acts. I wore a white top from New Look and my tennis skirt is from Depop. As you can see it was a good night, I ended up behind the dj set.

Goodbye Halloween, it is time for CHRISTMAS!!

Urban Reef

Denim Jacket – ASOS & White Jumper – Primark

Yesterday I took Katie out for a belated birthday lunch because she turned 19 in August and I wasn’t able to see her on her actual birthday. I sent her a card that arrived to her in the Summer holidays saying that I would take her out for a meal as her birthday present. Tuesday was the only day we both had free to spend together so I took her to Urban Reef in Boscombe. I have never been this far down the beach before, we spend most of our time in Bournemouth. This was a cute restaurant right on the sea front where I treated her to a fatty burger. The scenery was so beautiful, we sat outside with the sun shining on us all afternoon.

MISS SUNSHINE

The last bit of Summer sun

I want to do more things like this, not just going for lunch/diner but adventuring out of Bournemouth. I have Christchurch, South Banks and Boscombe right next to me which have some lovely picturesque places to visit, so this is going to be my goal for this year. From this weekend on I have something planned every weekend!! – Very exciting.

the best week ever

MALAGA 2018

This year my friends and I actually backed up our ideas and booked our first group holiday. There was 17 of us so the organising was extremely stressful. I managed to find an amazing 20 person villa in Malaga on Home and Away, which had a private pool, slide, hot tub, outside bed and even a bar on the balcony. The only thing is it was in the middle of nowhere! Malaga is such a beautiful place and I am disappointed in myself that I did not take more pictures, but most of the days we spent chilling around the pool, catching some sun and making ourselves sex on the beach at our own bar. It was honestly the most amazing way to end the holiday before some of us went back to University and I wouldn’t definitely put myself through the stress of organising it again next year. It was so worth it!!

I have taken a lot more photographs on my cameras but my laptop is in repair, so there is no way of me to download them!! But a quick update; I have moved back to University and moved into my house! It is just me and 3 other girls so I am extremely excited for the next year. Lots of exciting things are coming!!

What am I doing in London & how I am staying organised

I spent Saturday afternoon shopping in Oxford Circus and walking around Carnaby Street. I have never actually been to Carnaby Street and I did not realise how close it was to Oxford Circus but I have always heard good things. It is very funky!

On Friday night my Uni friends and I went to Fabric. It was my first time ever clubbing in London and was definitely one to remember! It was not as scary as I thought it would be.

This is the cute water fountain which is in the kitchen of the office I am working in. I will try and take a lot more pictures of the office as it is so cute, there are plants everywhere and even a roof top balcony.

I am currently a week into my work placement in London and I bet you wonder what I am doing here?

One evening, this lady from down the road asked me to babysit for her children. I said yes because I needed the money and knew it would help her out a lot. When I got there we began talking about University, where I told her I studied Communications and Media at Bournemouth. We had a long old chat about it before she bought up that she used to work for a PR company called FireFly. The lovely women then hooked me up with this amazing work experience in London, where I am going to the FireFly office everyday and learning about what they do.

This is an amazing experience for me as I have always said I want to live in a big city one day, and here is my chance to see if I like it.

I am staying with my second cousins in Stockwell which is just a short commute work. Unfortunately I did not know how busy the tube gets, I don’t know if that is just me being naive but it is awful!! Some mornings I am having to wait for 2 or 3 trains to pass just because I can’t fit on them. I think it is the only time you can be so close into somebodies personal space without it being a problem. I also find it a really weird concept because nobody talks? It is completely silent, everybody is either people watching, reading or listening to their music. The tube is a silent train filled with hundreds of people, its very odd.

Lucky enough for me I have University friends that live in London, so I am not fully on my own. I have a lot of plans for the next 2 weeks, where I am seeing friends and trying to be the biggest tourist I can. Right now, I am currently sat in a coffee shop in Oxford Circus before I go shopping. Being in London is the best excuse to leave the house.

While I am here I want to sit in Hyde Park, visit Soho art galleries, got to Carnaby Street, go for a drink up The Shard and visit Covent Gardens.

So far I have already been to Camden market, as I met my friend Carolina there to watch the football (we couldn’t get into any pubs tho!) On Friday night my friends and I also went to Fabric which was amazing.

My first week in London has been a lot of fun. I am really enjoying my work placement, the people I am working with are lovely and I am just enjoying being a Londoner. There is always stuff to do! My aim for the next week is too take a lot more pictures of my outfits, my food and also to stop spending so much money!

Hope you have enjoyed this little update of what is going on in my life. I really am making the most out of my time here and I want to take you with me on my adventure.

How am I staying organised in London?

My way of staying organised is too keep a hand diary and write absolutely everything into it. What time you start work, your plans to see friends, scheduling in the gym. Absolutely everything, put it in your diary. I can stress to you all how much this helps me. I am the type of person that gets extremely stressed out if I don’t have it all laid out in front of me. I don’t like using my phone to stay organised, or online calendars, I prefer to have it all written down in a book in front of me.

This diary I have bought started at the beginning of July, which is perfect as this is when I started full time work in London. It is the perfect way for me to know what I need to get done that day. It also means I can try and fit in seeing everybody while I am here without getting the days wrong!

TB to Summer’17

Its a Thursday afternoon and I am packing for my family holiday to Portugal on Sunday, so I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite throwbacks to Summer of 2017 – the best Summer of my life!!

Last year I started the Summer with Glastonbury festival, but unfortunately it is not on this year 😦 if it was, all my friends and I would be extremely excited right now!! As well as going to BoomTown I attended lots of little day festivals, as well as going to Tenerife and London with my boyfriend, and Barcelona with my Mum and Sister. The whole of August was jam packed.

This Summer I am spending a lot of time working but also have lots of fun things plan. Follow me to keep up with my Summer!

Love Saves The Day 2018

This is a very annual post as I have blogged about this day for the past 2 years, but it is that time again!! SUMMER.

(I look very sweaty in every single photo)

Love Saves The Day is a weekend festival in Bournemouth that I have attended for the past 3 years to kick off the Summer, but this year it was even better. I had finished exams, the sun was out and everyone was happy.

I have finished my first year at University!

My first year of University is officially over!

On Friday 25th May I had my first/last exam which went extremely well. The feeling of relief when I walked out of the exam hall was brilliant and we all headed straight to spoons. That night I went lollipop at The Old Firestation with all of my course friends and we had the best night. It was also National Wine Day.

I have had a very busy week ahead of me, I have had Love Saves the Day this weekend and I am going back to university this week for the Summer Ball and to celebrate the end of exams with my friends.
