Dinner at the Pig Hotel, near Bath

Mums birthday dinner!!

Parasailing

On Tuesday 7th August my whole family went over to The Pig near Bath where my parents were staying for the night to celebrate my Mums birthday. It was an extremely posh farm hotel with all 100% organic food. I ate a lot of fish, squid for a starter and plaice as a main.

The restaurant is completely in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields and a gorgeous garden. My parents are completely living the high life at the moment going from hotel to hotel with my dads work.

BOOMTOWN 2018

It is currently the Wednesday after Boomtown and I am sat on my bed trying to recover. I feel like I have so much to do but my brain will not let me, the Boomtown blues are real. This is the only festival I have this year and it makes me so sad that I have to wait for such a long time for another. These are the only photographs I got on my phone through the whole weekend as I spent most of my time taking videos and trying to fill up my disposable cameras.

This weekend Solly and I are going camping so I am trying to organise all of our stuff to make it perfect. I hope the weather get better!! Today I will get half of my disposables printed and I can’t wait. I feel like I have so much going on the next couple of weeks. Camping, BBQ and birthdays, Malaga, my boyfriends birthday, visiting London again and then the move back to University. I am trying to write lots of lists to make sure everything gets done.

Happy Wednesday everybody!

The beginning of the Summer…

If you have followed my blog for a while you would know that I make little videos of everything I do. I have had absolutely no motivation to make any at the moment but finally picked myself up and put together a ‘Beginning of the Summer’ video, more like a Spring 2018 video to be honest! These are all videos from January to May, including the BU Summer Ball, University fun, Love Saves the Day, a weekend in Bath, Bristol and a lot more.

Hopefully throughout the Summer I will be making a lot more, let me know if you like it!

A look back on June & my goals for July

Recap of June

This month I have spent, moving out of halls, catching up with friends and working to pay for all my Summer plans.

On the 2nd June I had the Summer Ball which I have spoken about before. It was so much fun, my friends and I dressed up as eggs, haha! The next day I officially moved out of University and came back to see my boyfriend.

Throughout the last month I have been trying to get back into my fitness as I want to be completely body confident for festivals and my holidays. Since coming on holiday it has gone completely down the drain. I have been scoffing my face on cheese and bread, while my brother, sister and mum have been getting up at 9:00AM to do a workout, haha. I don’t know why I am just not in the mood while I am on holiday.

When I get back from Portugal, I only have 4 days before I move to London for 3 weeks, ahh!! I am also working so I need to get myself organised now as there is a lot of shopping to do, a lot packing and a lot of friends to see before hand!! Solly is away with his family at the moment in Portugal (but 3 hours from me) and isn’t getting home till a day after me, so I won’t have very long to spend time with him before not seeing him for nearly a month :(.

I am absolutely loving Grace Fit UK at the moment. She has become a very big inspiration! Check out her YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1QbgAuzMDsWn7eCtImRB7Q

July Goals

I am not going to really call these goals, more of a plan. As I have said I am spending most of July in London and I want to make the most of it. I absolutely love London but going from a small village in Somerset to such a big city will be a culture shock.

I have found a gym just down the road from where I am staying, and I am planning to lose at least half a stone. I am going to achieve this by meal planning, staying busy and organising my workouts, rather than just turning up at the gym. I want to be feeling confident in what I am wearing at Boomtown, which is just after I get back from London.

I want to prioritise what is important. While I am in London, it is important to make the most of my opportunity, to keep up with my blogging and fitness. I will also be spending a lot of time with close University friends while I am away. I want to find out what London has to offer, not just stick to what I know, you never know, I could love it so much I move there after University.

I will be sharing a lot more about what I am doing in London throughout my time there. Press the follow button to keep updated!

Its a Thursday afternoon and I am packing for my family holiday to Portugal on Sunday, so I thought I would share with you a few of my favourite throwbacks to Summer of 2017 – the best Summer of my life!!

Last year I started the Summer with Glastonbury festival, but unfortunately it is not on this year 😦 if it was, all my friends and I would be extremely excited right now!! As well as going to BoomTown I attended lots of little day festivals, as well as going to Tenerife and London with my boyfriend, and Barcelona with my Mum and Sister. The whole of August was jam packed.

This Summer I am spending a lot of time working but also have lots of fun things plan. Follow me to keep up with my Summer!

Date night on a Monday

THE HALFWAY HOUSE

Last night Solly and I spent the evening at a cute little pub on the way to Langport, Somerset. It was such a lush day we may as well of spent it out in the sun. Because I had been working all weekend, Sol and I never got a chance to spend anytime together, we haven’t really had a chance since I have been back from University tbh!! Sol works Monday to Friday, 8 in the morning to late, where as I work most evenings and all over the weekend, so fitting in time to see each other can be difficult.

Solly got a beef burger and I got a beef chilli. I am still trying to be healthy as I am going on holiday with my family to Portugal in less than 2 weeks so I need to get my Summer bod, haha!

In the morning I went to CrossFit with my brother and sister, then spent the whole day relaxing in the sun. It is the first day I have had off work since Tuesday so I was happy to spend it doing absolutely nothing. I even caught a tan!!

Couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Monday!!

My brother & sisters 18th | Sigma – SWX & Family Gathering

MY BROTHER AND SISTER ARE 18!

So if you did not know I have a twin brother and sister and this weekend, 28th April, they both turned 18! How crazy is that. My sister has been so lucky, due to her looking like me, she has been able to go clubbing for ages. Where as, my brother on the other hand is so excited. He has been to one club before and had to leave early because his friends got kicked out. – hahaha, the amount of lifts I owe my brother is ridiculous so I will be paying for it now!

28/03/18

Its there birthday! I woke up to give Alice and Jack there birthday presents. I got a Alice a new bag and Jack a jumper. Jack keeps on saying he wants to change his fashion. Mum, Alice and I then went for lunch. We were meant to be going to Ask Italian in Wells but we forgot there is a market on every Saturday so we couldn’t find a parking space! Instead we went to Wetherspoons, haha. After a quick lunch as we were in a rush, Alice and I went to get out nails done, ready for an evening out in Bristol.

I think I should start to leave my camera out whenever I have people round, haha! The next day we had to wake up quite early, after getting into bed around 5is as 30 members of my family were coming round to celebrate Alice and Jacks 18th. We had a hog roast, marquee and lots of food, it is a shame the weather was not on our side as we all spent most of the time in the house. It was also so nice to see all of the family.

What an exciting weekend, also my friends and I have booked a holiday to Spain, WOO!

HAPPY 1ST MAY

MY BIRTHDAY | LOCAL NIGHT OUT + HUJI CAMERA

I took a lot of photos on my birthday night out on the Huji Camera app, and when I woke up the next day with a run over phone and no way to access the app I was so upset, haha! Recently this Huji camera has become massive across the Instagram community. For ages I have wanted an app on my phone which can turn pictures into disposable photos. The reason I love this app is because it can make any photo look good without having to try.

This ism last post about my 20th birthday. It was a great weekend and it is nice that I am able to share it all with you. I feel like since being at University a lot of my blog post are based around nights out, which I want to change and being at home for 3 weeks gives me the chance to do that.

I hope you like this style of post, it is a way of me sharing lots of photographs but not taking up lots of space.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNT FROM SEMESTER TWO AT UNIVERSITY

img_5545

I have officially completed my 2nd semester at University and what a crazy one it has been. Over the past 3 months I have definitely settled in and found my place in Bournemouth, I couldn’t be happier.

Lets go back to January. When I went back to Bournemouth after having 3 months of for Christmas I found it really difficult. I was missing home, my boyfriend and did not feel settled in my flat or the people around me, although they are my closest friends. After spending so much time with the people I have known for years over the Christmas period, going back to people I have only know for less that 6 months after being apart was a challenge. I was unmotivated to make an effort, with University and to even go out. At the end of January I had another week off, something like a reading week, where again I spent it at home.

Being at home with everyone back at work was extremely depressing. I spent the whole week doing absolutely nothing which gave me the biggest kick up the bum to get myself stuck into University life. I only had around 4/5 months left to enjoy myself and I would hate to leave my first year thinking I had not done enough.

…and that is what I did. I can honestly say I have found my place with every aspect of University life. My balance is right when it comes to the gym, socialising, Uni work and having a boyfriend. Last week I also got a job at a Thai restaurant at the top of town! The past 3 months have been the some of the best times of my life and I feel extremely blessed.

As you know I am studying Communications and Media, which this year is extremely English based rather that the actual production. Doing essays means us students are able to find out our grades less than a month after submitting it, which I love as even before the end of the year I know I am doing well. This Easter half term is about starting revision for my one exam and getting into my blogging. Now that everything at University is great and I have sorted my priorities out it is time for my blog to get up and running.

You will be seeing a lot more of me soon.
