Date night on a Monday

THE HALFWAY HOUSE

Last night Solly and I spent the evening at a cute little pub on the way to Langport, Somerset. It was such a lush day we may as well of spent it out in the sun. Because I had been working all weekend, Sol and I never got a chance to spend anytime together, we haven’t really had a chance since I have been back from University tbh!! Sol works Monday to Friday, 8 in the morning to late, where as I work most evenings and all over the weekend, so fitting in time to see each other can be difficult.

Solly got a beef burger and I got a beef chilli. I am still trying to be healthy as I am going on holiday with my family to Portugal in less than 2 weeks so I need to get my Summer bod, haha!

In the morning I went to CrossFit with my brother and sister, then spent the whole day relaxing in the sun. It is the first day I have had off work since Tuesday so I was happy to spend it doing absolutely nothing. I even caught a tan!!

Couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Monday!!

MY BROTHER AND SISTER ARE 18!

So if you did not know I have a twin brother and sister and this weekend, 28th April, they both turned 18! How crazy is that. My sister has been so lucky, due to her looking like me, she has been able to go clubbing for ages. Where as, my brother on the other hand is so excited. He has been to one club before and had to leave early because his friends got kicked out. – hahaha, the amount of lifts I owe my brother is ridiculous so I will be paying for it now!

28/03/18

Its there birthday! I woke up to give Alice and Jack there birthday presents. I got a Alice a new bag and Jack a jumper. Jack keeps on saying he wants to change his fashion. Mum, Alice and I then went for lunch. We were meant to be going to Ask Italian in Wells but we forgot there is a market on every Saturday so we couldn’t find a parking space! Instead we went to Wetherspoons, haha. After a quick lunch as we were in a rush, Alice and I went to get out nails done, ready for an evening out in Bristol.

I think I should start to leave my camera out whenever I have people round, haha! The next day we had to wake up quite early, after getting into bed around 5is as 30 members of my family were coming round to celebrate Alice and Jacks 18th. We had a hog roast, marquee and lots of food, it is a shame the weather was not on our side as we all spent most of the time in the house. It was also so nice to see all of the family.

HAPPY 1ST MAY

MY BIRTHDAY | LOCAL NIGHT OUT + HUJI CAMERA

I took a lot of photos on my birthday night out on the Huji Camera app, and when I woke up the next day with a run over phone and no way to access the app I was so upset, haha! Recently this Huji camera has become massive across the Instagram community. For ages I have wanted an app on my phone which can turn pictures into disposable photos. The reason I love this app is because it can make any photo look good without having to try.

This ism last post about my 20th birthday. It was a great weekend and it is nice that I am able to share it all with you. I feel like since being at University a lot of my blog post are based around nights out, which I want to change and being at home for 3 weeks gives me the chance to do that.

I hope you like this style of post, it is a way of me sharing lots of photographs but not taking up lots of space.

WHAT I HAVE LEARNT FROM SEMESTER TWO AT UNIVERSITY

img_5545

I have officially completed my 2nd semester at University and what a crazy one it has been. Over the past 3 months I have definitely settled in and found my place in Bournemouth, I couldn’t be happier.

Lets go back to January. When I went back to Bournemouth after having 3 months of for Christmas I found it really difficult. I was missing home, my boyfriend and did not feel settled in my flat or the people around me, although they are my closest friends. After spending so much time with the people I have known for years over the Christmas period, going back to people I have only know for less that 6 months after being apart was a challenge. I was unmotivated to make an effort, with University and to even go out. At the end of January I had another week off, something like a reading week, where again I spent it at home.

Being at home with everyone back at work was extremely depressing. I spent the whole week doing absolutely nothing which gave me the biggest kick up the bum to get myself stuck into University life. I only had around 4/5 months left to enjoy myself and I would hate to leave my first year thinking I had not done enough.

…and that is what I did. I can honestly say I have found my place with every aspect of University life. My balance is right when it comes to the gym, socialising, Uni work and having a boyfriend. Last week I also got a job at a Thai restaurant at the top of town! The past 3 months have been the some of the best times of my life and I feel extremely blessed.

As you know I am studying Communications and Media, which this year is extremely English based rather that the actual production. Doing essays means us students are able to find out our grades less than a month after submitting it, which I love as even before the end of the year I know I am doing well. This Easter half term is about starting revision for my one exam and getting into my blogging. Now that everything at University is great and I have sorted my priorities out it is time for my blog to get up and running.

You will be seeing a lot more of me soon.

IM 20 YEARS OLD

Sunday 18th March

This is a cute, little vintage video I made of my whole birthday weekend. I have never made a video in fashion before but I really like it. It has made it very old fashioned and also turns my videos which are bad quality into something artistic.

Let me know if you like this style of video?

Halo Friday’s & early birthday lunch with dad

Friday 16th March

So to begin my birthday weekend, I thought it would be amazing to have a massive pre drinks and go to one of my favourite clubs in Bournemouth. On the 16th it was a DnB event which was even better. All the girls and boys in my seminar made the effort to come and say hello just because it was my birthday. I’ve never felt so amazing!

Saturday 17th March

On Saturday morning I drove home and met my dad for lunch because he was meant to be going back to Saudi early Sunday which was my actual birthday. Unfortunatly Dad was feeling really early and postponed his flight until the Tuesday, which for me is very fortunate. I spent a lot of the Saturday just chilling at home until I was going out with my close friends at home on the Saturday night.

Basically, on Saturday night I got so so drunk that when I left the club I was sliding on the ice everywhere, causing me to drop my phone, loose it for half an hour and it be run over by a car, hahahahhaha! (Actually it is not that funny I am very upset about it.) I am hoping today it will be fixed so I can share way my photographs with you all and make a birthday weekend video. Other than that, my weekend has been amazing. If it is not able to get fixe, I won’t have any photographs to share with you of my outfit or incredible friends, just awful ones of me that everyone posted on their snapchat stories haha.

How was your weekend?

turtle bay, Italian & a blizzard

MARCH 1ST – 3RD

How beautiful was the snow? I can not believe that right at the beginning of March our gardens were covered in snow. When the snow hit Somerset I was driving up for two nights in Bath. Because of the snow a lot of places in Bath were shut. On Thursday night we went out for an Italian dinner which was just around the corner from the Hilton Bath City Hotel, called Antica Restaurant. We got there at 8:00PM and as soon as we walked in they said they would shut soon because of the snow, the whole of Bath was a ghost town.

On Friday, we got up early for breakfast and then chilled in the room. Our plan was to go to Bath Spa in the evening so we had a relaxing day and went out for a big lunch at Giraffe. I got the nicest beef burrito, would highly recommend. Stupidly before we walked down to the spa we didn’t check to see if it was open (and it was shut.) So that evening we went to Turtle Bay for a couple of cocktails and then had some snacks at the bar in the hotel. Everywhere was so dead due to the weather!

Im sure you can all tell that I never see snow that much, haha!
