january blues

HAPPY SUNDAY!

I am currently sat in my living room, by the warm fire, stressing about my exam on Wednesday. I am the WORST at taking exams. I hate being put on the spot. After Wednesday I am free to do whatever and start a fresh in the Uni year. I am going to create my 2018 Highlights video, revamp my Uni bedroom, blog a lot more and hopefully get myself a part time job. I have a lot of things to pay for this Summer so I better start saving.

January is the worst month of the year, you believe that Winter is over because Christmas has ended when really it has just begun.

This is a picture from Solly and Is trip to Rome over Christmas. I have serious travel bug at the moment and can’t wait to get away again. February is the month for a placement search and I am hoping to find one in a European country to get away for a whole year. Nothing appeals to me more than living in another country and learning about a whole new culture.

I have just sent in my 35mm film camera pictures to be printed. 34 pictures just of Solly in Rome! I am excited to share them all and start using this camera a lot more.

i love u & the city

A LITTLE CHRISTMAS TRIP TO ROME

Here comes my non – stop pics of Solly and I’s trip to Rome. As I have said I took 3 different cameras –  my phone, Olympus Pen Canon camera and a Canon film camera (which I haven’t been able to get processed yet) so I have a lot of content to share with you.

Sol and I only spent 3 nights in Rome, with only around 2 full days to fit in all the sites. When I say all the sites… there is soooo much to see! On the first day we did a hop on hop off bus all around Rome, just to get our bearings. The first stop was the colosseum which is was Sollys main site to see. We decided to get skip the queue and a tour, just because this is one of the main sites in Rome and yes it was so worth it! If you haven’t been, the colosseum is incredible and so much bigger than I imagined.

These are not just photographs from day one, but a collection of some of my favourites. We stuffed our face with pasta, pizza and a little trick for anybody going to a busy city, walk down the back streets… you will find a lot of cheap food and cute little restaurants. Solly and I used an app called ‘YELP’ to help us find the best places to eat and drink.

This was such an amazing experience for Sol and I but I can honestly say it has given me a travel bug, I WANT TO BE ABROAD 24/7 to the point my friend Kimia and I are organising a cheap trip to Berlin at the end of January, to celebrate the end of a stressful month. Where would you like to visit in the EU?

happy new year 🎆

WELCOME TO 2019!

Hello everybody, its 2019!! (Actually we are 3 days into 2019.) To celebrate on New Years Eve my close friends and I went to a Razzle Dazzle party at Bocabar in Glastonbury. What was so amazing is that not only were my close friends from home their, but my two house mates Ellie and Maddi also came with their friends. The only other people I needed their to celebrate were Katie (who lives ages away) and Kelsey (who is celebrating New Years in Tenerife with her boyfriend.) We celebrated New Years at Bocabar last year and it has never disappointed, it is the best local way to enter the New Year with my best friends!

Sorry this post is late, I have been very busy trying to organise all my University work and just my life in general. Today I woke up and went to a bootcamp at my local gym with my mum. I am now going to spend the day doing Uni work and detoxing. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE, lets make it a good one!

so much love!

THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR

On Friday evening when everyone has broken up from work, my whole friendship group went out for a massive Christmas meal. This is the only time (other than Glastonbury Festival) where we can all be together because everybody is at University or full time work.

We went to The Crown in Catcott, the same pub we ate at Christmas 2017.

MY CHRISTMAS EVE EVE COCKTAIL

The skirt I wore is from PrettyLittleThing – this is where I have been buying all of my clothes recently. Although leopard print is not very festive. Merry Christmas Eve everybody, hope you have a lovely evening!

THE PERFECT SUNDAY

On Sunday, the house made a roast dinner as a way to end the weekend and to celebrate semester one. How quickly has the time gone? Today Ellie went home for Christmas, Mads is travelling home and Katie and I are going home on Friday, leaving our cute, little house behind for nearly a month. This week I am keeping myself very busy – tomorrow I am going to watch Mabel, spending wednesday at a Christmas market and thursday I have my last lectures of the year, then Katie and I are going for food!! This weekend I am off to Birmingham to visit my sister, then drive her home for Christmas!

Who is excited for Christmas? I honestly cannot wait to get home to my friends and family. In just over 2 weeks I am off to Rome.

HUJI PICTURES

A couple of pictures of Els & I all dressed up before a night out.

How is everybody’s week going? I went to the pub last night with a couple of my house mates friends from last year, I hadn’t had a pub night in ages. This week has been very productive so far, I am feeling extremely motivated with University and my fitness but the one thing I am struggling with is finding content for my blog to get me into the Christmas spirit. I seem to of lost my urge to take pictures of everything like I did last yea so I have not uploaded anything slightly Christmassy. I love Christmas so much that I find it hard to spread the love and happiness through my blog but that is something I really want to do.

Tonight I am going to a bloggers and vloggers meeting at University and then dinner at my auntie and uncles – I haven’t seen them in ages. Also how horrible is this weather? Makes me want to shut myself inside all day.

a sunday brunch

Conto Lounge

Yesterday morning, Sols woke me up bright and early on a Sunday to go and get a nice breakfast, which if you know me well enough… ended up being brunch. Instead of getting a traditional full english, I treated myself to an Avocado Brunch – this included ciabatta bread, avocado, tomato, chilli and bacon (if you want.)

After this we went straight into Bournemouth town to do a bit of shopping and spend time in the Christmas market. To end the perfect Sunday, we had biscuits, tea and watch Sherlock homes. What a lovely weekend! – Now time to be extremely productive before I break up for Christmas on the 14th.
