the real eating company & lunchd collab!

Outfit: Dress – isawitfirst & top – Primark.

On Saturday afternoon, I was lucky enough to of been invited to a bloggers event at The Real Eating Company in Bournemouth. Little did I know, this cafe would be a hidden gem down a small back road on the high street. They are currently creating a collaboration with Lunch’d, to make delicious takeaway lunch boxes which are healthy, gluten and dairy free so that customers can grab it and go.

The 1st menu will feature:

MY PHAT GREEK BOX: Aubergine Moussaka & Quinoa Greek Salad with hummus & balsamic dressing (this is the box that the Bournemouth Bloggers got to try)

JERK CHICKEN BOX: Pulled Jerk Chick Roasted Sweet potato & Quinoa Super Salad with pomegranate seeds & lime. Served with seasonal slaw.

Helena Hudson, the owner of Real Eating Company says, “we are thrilled that Lunch’d is coming to the Real Eating Company Bournemouth. Oli creates and cooks really delicious healthy food and I can’t wait for our customers to try it. It’s also great to be able to offer this opportunity to a successful, smaller company when the cost of being on the high street is increasingly prohibitive.”  The Real Eating Company has had a site in Bournemouth for 4 years now, having been names ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at Dorset Food, Drink and Farming Awards. It is an independent business with a collection of food destinations in five towns in the South East – using local products whenever they can all day.

Oli Perron, founder of Lunch’d adds, “we’ve been approached before to white label for other cafe groups, but the opportunity to collaborate as a pop-up with The real Eating Company to showcase our new seasonal Hotboxes felt like a perfect match. We’ve been solely supplying offices since the first lunch in 2013, so this will be the first time non-office based customers can try us out.” Lunch’d was launched in 2014 providing healthy, gluten and dairy free meals including vegan options to companies across the county in a subscription basis and also caters for events.

This collaboration will start on the 5th March (TODAY) and will continue every Tuesday and Wednesday – customers can grab and go or dine in. Each box will be priced at £6.65.

A lovely little cafe, hidden away in Bournemouth. The food was delicious and left me feeling extremely satisfied. Thank you Bournemouth Bloggers for letting me join in with such a nice afternoon!

always time for a coffee

Conto Lounge, Winton

On a rainy, autumn day my friend Katie and I went for a nice coffee (she got a hot chocolate) at the Conto Lounge on Winton high street. I think I spend around £20 a week on a nice coffee, the addiction I getting a bit ridiculous.

So the weather has taken a turn for the worst, it is officially winter and my mood is at an all time low. It is the beginning of my reading week and I am spending it at my boyfriends house. The fact I have the whole week off is stressing me out, I have so much I need to do and feel like I won’t get it all done. Solly also has his exam to become a qualified electrician on Friday. I am staying with my boyfriend all week as my Mum has officially moved out to Saudi Arabia to be with my Dad and I am not going to see either of them until Christmas. My house is so cold and empty.

The weather is definitely affecting everybody’s moods, it is dark by 5PM and I just want the Summer back already.

Happy November everybody! Time to get into the Christmas spirit.

living pretty & not on the high street

As a late birthday present, my best friend Jess took me for afternoon tea at Living Pretty in Curry Rival. You ask for ‘afternoon tea for two’ and they bring out a little stand with a choice of sandwiches, scones and a piece of cake. By the end we were so full we could not even finish the cake.

This little cafe is in an antique shop, all the furniture placed around the cafe is for sale, including pieces of art, book shelves and they even sell home made jam, which is amazing! After filling up on cakes and completely ruining my diet, Jess and I met a couple more of our friends and spent the evening in spoons.

For my birthday my best friends both got me a bracelet and necklace from Not On The Hight Street, which is an online website which sells different types of jewellery which you can in grave onto. They get delivered with a little note in a jewellery bag which can be straight away given as a present. I thought I should share this website with you all as it is a great for birthdays, anniversaries and any other occasions. For my friend Chloe’s birthday this weekend, I bought her the same one we bought me but in rose gold. It has our monthly birth stone on it as Clo and I are both born in March.

The bottom photographs are taken on my Olympus Pen Lite which I haven’t used for ages but I love it. I am definitely going to start taking photographs on it a lot more, even though the iPhone 7 camera is amazing.
