when in rome…

ROME 2018

Today, Sol and I arrived home from 3 nights in Rome. I decided to take Sols to Rome for his 21st birthday and Christmas present, in between Christmas and New Years as it is an age to celebrate and when you are nearly 5 years in there are not any more jumpers or perfumes I could buy him. Rome is a very exciting city – I couldn’t even begin to describe how busy we have been. From the Colosseum to the Vatican to the Trevi Fountain, there is not enough time in the day to see everything. BUT… we did it. In just 2 full days we saw everything we wanted too.

Mini Golf & Pizza | Puerto De La Cruz

This is just the beginning of the amount of photos I have taken. I took my phone, my Canon camera and my dads old Canon film camera. I love the way film cameras come out and I am so excited to get them developed. Italy is a very beautiful country and hopefully I have captured it the best way I could.

So, after 4 days of pasta and pizza it is now New Years Eve. How quickly is time going? January is going to be a stressful month for me. From January the 1st it is time to give myself a kick up the bum. University comes first! I have waddled along for too long and I will be beating myself up if I don’t get my act together. That is not just with University, but also with money and my fitness. My only New Years resolution is to PRIORITISE – and this is with absolutely everything!

feeling festive yet?

Exactly 1 week until Christmas and I am feeling pretty festive. I am so happy to be home, sat in the living room by a Christmas tree and a warm fire, I am not used to this luxury at University. Home is where the heart is and I feel very content, so I want to share with you all some ways to get into the Christmas spirit.

The week before Christmas

Soap & Glory Christmas Calendar | Review

getting festive with friends & family

DO YOU HAVE AN ADVENT CALENDAR?

You will never be too old for an advent calendar. Im turning 21 in 2019 and I have 2. I have a ‘The Book of Beauty’ which I will do a review on in the New year and a cadburys chocolate one!

PUT ON SOME CHRISTMAS SONGS & MOVIES

You won’t ever feel festive until you have listened to ‘Fairytale of New York’ and watch ‘Elf.’

YOU MUST VISIT A CHRISTMAS MARKET

The only Christmas market I have been to this year is Bournemouth market, but there is nothing more festive than sitting in a grotto with some mulled wine. I definitely want to do this again before Christmas Day.

BUY YOURSELF SOME BAILEYS

There is nothing more festive than a glass of baileys at the end of every day. There is no alcoholic bev I love the most!

BE SURE THAT YOUR HOME IS DECORATED

My home is more than decorated. I got home from University to the house being covered in fairy lights, ball balls and two Christmas trees!

Christmas Day is 1 week today, the countdown begins. Christmas Day also means the Victoria Secret Fashion show 2018!!
