just keep going

My cute new top from ASOS, I love tie front tops at the moment. This one is extremely summery but the sleeves are quite tight. If anything I would get it a size bigger like the model on ASOS.

A Glastonbury lunch with my lovely friend Chloe, we always save some time for a catch up whether that is food, a coffee or even a gym session. She is a big fitness freak and a huge inspiration, you should follow her instagram!

A pint in Weston Super – Mere after a quick sun bed. I have only ever had 2 sun beds and that was just before Boomtown because I wanted to look tanned, I would never get them on a regular. My friend Chloe here loves them!! (this is a different Chloe)

Boomtown in the rain with my bestie. I love this photo I find it so funny that we are absolutely soaked but still having the time of our lives. P.s. I lost this pink jumper on the Saturday night 😦 heartbreaking!!

A Prezzo lunch to celebrate my sisters A – Level results, A*AA – how amazing!! Alice and my brother Jack are both off to University this year, Birmingham and Exeter.

My brother coming home for the weekend after his 1st week out of 4 of his pre season rugby training in Exeter.

A quick trip to the garden centre with my mum, trying to get University room inspiration. I want to cover the whole room in picture, pretty colours and lots of plants! But how do I do that on a budget?

I am not going to lie but at the moment I am extremely bored. Being home for such a long time with not many shifts at work is becoming very hard haha! I am the type of person who needs to be busy all the time. And when all my friends and boyfriend work Monday – Friday and I work weekends it is pretty hard to fill up my days. Yes I am writing lots of blog posts, going to crossfit and catching up with friends but I am also so ready to get back to University. I want routine, I want to get a part time job and I want to get back to being busy 24/7.

But today is my last shift before spending bank holiday weekend with everybody. I then only have 1 week before we all jet off to Malaga!! I have an exciting month and I cannot wait!!

When is everyone else heading back to Uni?

BLT Salad Bowl

“Skip the diet and just eat healthy”

This is a scrumptious recipe which is simple  and tasty. It is a healthy version of a BLT sandwich that includes bacon, lettuce and tomatoes but will a cheesier, sweeter taste.

THE INGREDIENTS

  • 2 rashes ofBacon
  • Lettuce (I just used enough to fill the bowl)
  • Handful of Cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 an avocado
  • 2 tsp of feta cheese
  • 1/4 of a cucumber
  • Handful of coriander

Top tip: Try and cook the bacon until it is nice and crispy. While the bacon is cooking, chop up all the ingredients and throw it into a bowl, followed by the bacon on top.

I added balsamic glaze on top and a table spoon of balsamic vinegar to finish it off. I also chopped 1/4 of a lemon and placed it on the side which I squeezed on top as I begun to eat, to add a bitter taste into the mix and spice it up a bit.

How simple and delicious, happy eating!

Happy Tuesday| CrossFit, Yoga & Healthy Curry Soup

Too much Tuesday, not enough coffee”

Today is a motivational Tuesday. I woke up after an early night watching Made in Chelsea at 8:00AM where I went downstairs and made myself a cappachino. At 9:30AM I went to a CrossFit class with my Mum and brother which I have really got into this Easter. I am trying my hardest to get fit for the Summer.

“Tuesday, means that you survived Monday”

After CrossFit, Mum and I made our way over to Bridgwater where we went to a Yoga class. I thought this would be a great idea as after these classes I never stretch out my muscles. I have never properly got into Yoga before as I am not that flexible anymore but  it is something that I am definitely interested in.

When we had finished with our classes we had a small lunch underneath the Gym. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was amazing. I had never tried sour bread before but I thought it was nicer than normal bread. I am cutting down on all meat, yeast and dairy. Over the past 3 months I have started to feel extremely sick, so cutting down will let me route out the problem. Maybe I am intolerant to something? I would hate to have to give up any dairy product, I love cheese and I have around 5 cappachinos a day.

The rest of the day I set up my revision for my Language Matters exam which is in 6 weeks. If you didn’t know I am studying Communications and Media. I have not taken an exam since my A Levels so the thought of sitting in an exam hall is getting me stressed so I am preparing myself early.

While revising I drank 2 pints of water and snaked on a PhD Smart Protein bar which I picked up after CrossFit. I am obsessed with the cookies and cream flavour, it is crazy how something so filled with chocolate can be healthy (although it is £2 a bar so I won’t be eating these at University.)

For dinner I had Roasted Cauliflower and Potato Curry Soup which is a recipe my mum found on eatingwell.com.

I don’t like eating anything that is too filling before I go to work so some homemade soup is perfect. It is healthy, tasty and does not bloat me out. Eating Well have the best healthy recipes so I recommend checking out there page if you have not already.

Let me know if you like this style of post, I am thinking about doing a couple more ‘Day in the Life’ blog posts. Happy Tuesday!
