CHIQUITOS & MR MULLIGANS
At the weekend, my boyfriend Solly came to visit me in Bournemouth and as always we spent the whole weekend eating lots of yummy food. We haven’t been out for a meal since Rome, so it was so nice spending time with him after a stressful January. Saturday night we went to Chiquitos. To start I had halloumi skewers and Sols had jalapeno poppers. As a main I had a beef chilli burrito and Sols had a BBQ fajita. All of it was so nice, we have been to Chiquitos before and they don’t just sell amazing Mexican food, but lush cocktails as well. It is hard to find a perfect expresso martini and they serve one!!

I wore a new dress that I bought from isawitfirst.com. This website is my favourite clothing brand at the moment. Everything they sell that I have bought so far is great quality and affordable.
After an amazing dinner we played indoor mini golf at Mr Mulligans. I have never been before but everybody raves about it. The layout is extremely artistic and eye catching but although it is a lot of fun, the game is extremely slow on a Saturday due it being so busy and having to wait for different groups at each hole. I would definitely go again but maybe only play one game. It is something cute and different to do on a date night.
Happy Monday everybody! I hope you all had a good weekend. I have a lot planned this week after an extremely quite week last week, I am excited to get back to my busy old self. It is when I am my happiest.
Please follow my new Instagram account – https://www.instagram.com/emilymaythorne/ – I am sharing lots of travel, photography and foodie pics which will hopefully grow when I become a lot more busy.
On the clear desk by my window I keep all my books, diary and other Uni bits and bobs. I keep my Sonic Bomb and I have a mini table where I keep lots of pretty flowers. These are actually all from Lidl.
This Ivy is from Haskins Garden centre which is also where I got the plant pot that it goes in. This stands on top of my Alexa Chung book, where I keep my JBL speaker and a cute little pumpkin from Lidl. The cactuses are from Ikea and my incense is from Glastonbury high street. On the end of this shelf I keep my nice perfume. Underneath is an electric fire place which actually doesn’t work, ahah!
Around the top of this wall opposite my window, I have stuck up all my disposable photographs that go years back. On the left is my full body mirror which is from the Range, my frame is also from the Range. The aloe vera is from Haskins garden centre and I love it! The cute little mirror I got from Asos and next to it I keep my lavender and coconut spray from Holland and Barrett.
In the corner of my bedroom is my double bed where on the sign I hang a Moroccan style spread which adds to the room completely. All my pillows and the blanket are from the Range.
Since coming back to University after Christmas I have completely redone my bedroom. I wanted to make it a lot more cosier so that I actually want to hang out in there rather than always in the kitchen. After adding lots of little bits I have made it a lot more comfortable and I absolutely love it.
This was after all the help of my lovely mother! 🤩
NOTHING BUT LOVE & HAPPINESS IN 2019
It is the morning after New Years Eve and I have entered the New Year in an amazing mind set. TIME TO GET MY SHIT TOGETHER.
Here are my best photos of 2018, everybody knows how much I love photos. This year I have done so much. Travelled, been to festivals and made so many amazing friends – I could not of done much more. But 2019 is going to be bigger and full of nothing but smiles.
I have just started reading a book called “The Power of Now” – it has opened my mind and way of thinking. 2019 is about being more spiritual and start to believe that everything happens for a reason, what will be will be. Everybody just needs to love the life they live because you will only be here once. A quote to take into the New Year is “I am in charge of how I feel and today I chose happiness.”
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. I HOPE YOUR HEARTS ARE FULL OF LOVE, JOY AND HAPPINESS.

WHO AM I PROUD OF?
SOLLY IS NOW A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN AFTER YEARS OF WORKING SO HARD AT HIS APPRENTICESHIP!
MY SISTER GOT A*AA IN HER A LEVELS AFTER MONTHS OF HARD WORK – GETTING HER INTO BIRMINGHAM UNIVERSITY!!
MY MUM TOOK A HUGE STEP IN SEPTEMBER AND MOVED OUT TO SAUDI ARABIA WITH MY DAD, HOW CRAZY! (always proud of my dad)
AND I AM PROUD OF MY LOVELY BROTHER JACK FOR GETTING INTO EXETER UNIVERSITY AND FINALLY COMING OUT OF HIS SHELL 🙂
Today, Sol and I arrived home from 3 nights in Rome. I decided to take Sols to Rome for his 21st birthday and Christmas present, in between Christmas and New Years as it is an age to celebrate and when you are nearly 5 years in there are not any more jumpers or perfumes I could buy him. Rome is a very exciting city – I couldn’t even begin to describe how busy we have been. From the Colosseum to the Vatican to the Trevi Fountain, there is not enough time in the day to see everything. BUT… we did it. In just 2 full days we saw everything we wanted too.

Mini Golf & Pizza | Puerto De La Cruz
This is just the beginning of the amount of photos I have taken. I took my phone, my Canon camera and my dads old Canon film camera. I love the way film cameras come out and I am so excited to get them developed. Italy is a very beautiful country and hopefully I have captured it the best way I could.
So, after 4 days of pasta and pizza it is now New Years Eve. How quickly is time going? January is going to be a stressful month for me. From January the 1st it is time to give myself a kick up the bum. University comes first! I have waddled along for too long and I will be beating myself up if I don’t get my act together. That is not just with University, but also with money and my fitness. My only New Years resolution is to PRIORITISE – and this is with absolutely everything!
