Malaga 2018

On one of our last evenings in Malaga we thought it would be nice to go for a big family meal. We travelled over to Fueungirola for the first time since being there. We had been told it was somewhere to definitely visit as it was full of life and youth. In Malaga centre, we found that the clubs were very small and there was not much to do in the evenings. Where as Fuengirola was the place we had been hoping for the whole time we were there!

Our meal was so lovely. We went to this open restaurant where we were all able to sit outside. This my favourite evening of the whole holiday, everyone was happy and having so much fun.

BOOMTOWN 2018

I will never get enough of these disposable pictures from Boomtown!! Looking back on them makes me miss it so much. I want to do a lot more next Summer, whether that is holidays or festivals!

I am finally at the end of what feels like the longest but happiest week ever. I am now officially all moved into my house that is just Katie, Ellie, Maddi and I. Its a cute girly house!! I have woke up this morning exhausted and extremely hungover, Freshers has been so much fun but I am so ready to start Uni properly next week!! I want a routine – also I have found a job!! At a cute little restaurant in Christchurch. How exciting!!

What am I doing in London & how I am staying organised

I spent Saturday afternoon shopping in Oxford Circus and walking around Carnaby Street. I have never actually been to Carnaby Street and I did not realise how close it was to Oxford Circus but I have always heard good things. It is very funky!

On Friday night my Uni friends and I went to Fabric. It was my first time ever clubbing in London and was definitely one to remember! It was not as scary as I thought it would be.

This is the cute water fountain which is in the kitchen of the office I am working in. I will try and take a lot more pictures of the office as it is so cute, there are plants everywhere and even a roof top balcony.

I am currently a week into my work placement in London and I bet you wonder what I am doing here?

One evening, this lady from down the road asked me to babysit for her children. I said yes because I needed the money and knew it would help her out a lot. When I got there we began talking about University, where I told her I studied Communications and Media at Bournemouth. We had a long old chat about it before she bought up that she used to work for a PR company called FireFly. The lovely women then hooked me up with this amazing work experience in London, where I am going to the FireFly office everyday and learning about what they do.

This is an amazing experience for me as I have always said I want to live in a big city one day, and here is my chance to see if I like it.

I am staying with my second cousins in Stockwell which is just a short commute work. Unfortunately I did not know how busy the tube gets, I don’t know if that is just me being naive but it is awful!! Some mornings I am having to wait for 2 or 3 trains to pass just because I can’t fit on them. I think it is the only time you can be so close into somebodies personal space without it being a problem. I also find it a really weird concept because nobody talks? It is completely silent, everybody is either people watching, reading or listening to their music. The tube is a silent train filled with hundreds of people, its very odd.

Lucky enough for me I have University friends that live in London, so I am not fully on my own. I have a lot of plans for the next 2 weeks, where I am seeing friends and trying to be the biggest tourist I can. Right now, I am currently sat in a coffee shop in Oxford Circus before I go shopping. Being in London is the best excuse to leave the house.

While I am here I want to sit in Hyde Park, visit Soho art galleries, got to Carnaby Street, go for a drink up The Shard and visit Covent Gardens.

So far I have already been to Camden market, as I met my friend Carolina there to watch the football (we couldn’t get into any pubs tho!) On Friday night my friends and I also went to Fabric which was amazing.

My first week in London has been a lot of fun. I am really enjoying my work placement, the people I am working with are lovely and I am just enjoying being a Londoner. There is always stuff to do! My aim for the next week is too take a lot more pictures of my outfits, my food and also to stop spending so much money!

Hope you have enjoyed this little update of what is going on in my life. I really am making the most out of my time here and I want to take you with me on my adventure.

How am I staying organised in London?

My way of staying organised is too keep a hand diary and write absolutely everything into it. What time you start work, your plans to see friends, scheduling in the gym. Absolutely everything, put it in your diary. I can stress to you all how much this helps me. I am the type of person that gets extremely stressed out if I don’t have it all laid out in front of me. I don’t like using my phone to stay organised, or online calendars, I prefer to have it all written down in a book in front of me.

This diary I have bought started at the beginning of July, which is perfect as this is when I started full time work in London. It is the perfect way for me to know what I need to get done that day. It also means I can try and fit in seeing everybody while I am here without getting the days wrong!

OUTFIT OF THE NIGHT | OOTD + A NIGHT OUT IN BRISTOL

On Saturday night I went out in Bristol for my friend Chloe’s 19th birthday so I thought it would be a good idea to share with you all what I wore. I decided on something completely different for this night out as I am trying to expand on the things I wear.

This Multi Coloured, Poker Dot, flowy dress is from TopShop and I bought it while I was shopping with my brother Jack in Taunton the other day. I liked this style of dress as I thought it would be perfect for the Summer and it is something completely different. It was on £26 and for TopShop I thought that was amazing so I did not have a choice but to buy it. I wore this with my White Nike Air Force trainers as the club is not dressy at all and I wore a leather jacket on top.

For Chloes birthday we got a mini bus (well a coach) to SWX in Bristol. I have never been there before so it was a good change and a nice way to spend the bank holiday weekend. Especially as we were with everyone.

I spent Easter Sunday this year working at my old pub as they needed help so my Easter this year was not too exciting, how has your weekend been?

The Best 5 Days | Glastonbury Festival 2017

Glastonbury Festival 2017

It is safe to say that this Glastonbury was the best year I have ever been. I was in the best company, the sun was shinning and I think everyone can agree that we could not of been happier. I was camping with a close group of friends, including my three best friends Kelsey, Jess and Holly and my boyfriend Solly. We camped near the top of Pennard Hill, close enough to the toilets and the night life but still far enough away. It was amazing this year as unlike last year, we were able to walk around in just socks avoiding any mud. I wore my Adidas trainers the whole time.

I don’t think I could even tell you my favourite memory of this years Glastonbury, as every single day and night was just as good as each other.  I feel as if I definitely made the most of it. Other than just being with my close friends, there were many other people around the site that I knew, like my cousins and other school friends. So it was great to spend lots of time with other people. I want every Glastonbury to be like this one, but I know that in 2 years time, a lot would of changed.

The Glastonbury comedown is real.

My Beauty Festival Essentials

Getting ready for Glastonbury Festival 2017

With Glastonbury Festival just around the corner, it definitely about time I started to prepare what I was going to bring. My beauty festival essentials are very simple. I wear barely any makeup due to tiredness and the magic of glitter. This year is slightly different to last year as I have learnt to look after myself and have got into a striked moisturising routine, so I know that when I am at the festival I will get irritated if my skin isn’t clean.

My first and most important beauty essentials has to be body spray and different. Anybody that has been to a festival will know that after a couple of dance in the sun, dancing away, you will smell. This year I am taking Nivea Anti – Antiperspirant Spray, Sanex invisible under arm and 2 Charlie body sprays. All these items I found in Tescos for around £2 each, so very affordable. The next item is Dry Hair Shampoo – Batiste Instant Hair Refresh. Unless you use the showers provided by Glastonbury Festival or wash you hair under the sinks, your hair will get greasy after 5 days. This dry hair shampoo has always served me well so I definitely recommend it. I then also pack femfresh and wet wipes.

I also bring some sort of lip balm as whenever I drink I always seem to get sore lips, this Nivea Lip Butter I have been using all year so I bought two new ones for the festival, both at £1 each. This Vital Moisturising cream by Trilogy I got in a BirchBox and thought it is a perfect travel size. I have only used this moisturiser a couple of times and it definitely works on my skin. It is quite thick so it will be suitable to put on in the mornings of the festival. And last but not least I will be using this Simple BB Cream. I use this in the summer time and it gives me an even foundation line while also feels great on my skin. When you are out all day you do not want to be wearing loads of makeup.

Overview of the beauty packing list:

  1. Diodrent – Sanex
  2. Under arm spray – Nivea Anti – Perspirent
  3. Body spray – Charlie
  4. Femfresh
  5. Primark wet wipes
  6. Lip butter – Nivea
  7. Moisturiser – Trilogy
  8. BB Cream – Simple

I hope this short list helps any of you while you think about what to take to the festival. Quick tip, minimise the amount of stuff you take. You do not want to be carrying in loads of equipment you will not be using.

I will speak to you all after the festival!

Fathers Day evening on the beach

Sunday 18th June

IMG_4222.JPG

This fathers day I spent at work. The shift was not fun at img_8300ALL as it was 30 degrees and hectic busy. I finished at 5:30, got changed and headed straight to Weston Beach with my family. We went to Weston at it is the closest beach to where I live, but it is not the nicest. Alice, Jack and I tried to walk to the beach, but the closest we got we begun to realise it was just pure mud that we were walking in. So we headed back and got fish and chips!

I hope you all had a good fathers day! Happy fathers day to my legend of a dad.
