I spent the end of my Easter holidays in Brighton with my best friend and house mate Katie. I have never been to Brighton before but it was definitely and experience and I will be back. We drank cocktails, coffee and sat by the beach before going out to Shoosh with my course friend Tia and her boyfriend. Brighton is such a beautiful place which was a perfect end to such a lush Easter holiday with my friend and family before the stress of University work kicked in.
I am now back at Uni, I drove back yesterday morning before going to my first revision lecture. I am happy to be back but I am worried about getting lazy. University gives you a lot of free time which is sometimes hard to fill without spending a lot of money, but I am ready to keep myself busy and motivated 24/7. When I am motivated I also eat a lot better and I am going on holiday in a month so it is time to put myself in a hole of revision and fitness before I really regret it!!
Happy Tuesday everybody and last day of April!
THE PALM – JUMEIRAH
I am now home from an amazing 5 nights in Dubai. I couldn’t write any blogs because of the wifi so I have a lot to update you on. Although the holiday was extremely relaxing we were also so busy. My mum planned for us to do something every single evening.
We spent the first day at The Meddirra hotel where my parents had been staying two nights before Alice, Jack and I arrived. We had the most amazing flight over with Emerites and after sitting on a plane for 7 hours I have now decided after University I want to become an air hostess!!! Travelling the world for free and earning a profit, what could go wrong?
We flew over night so we arrived in Dubai at 7:00AM local time, which is 4:00AM in England. I then did not sleep the whole day until the evening to sort my sleeping pattern. The first day was the hottest, it reached 39 degrees and blonde me thought my skin could handle it even after 6 months with no sun. I then got completely burnt and couldn’t go out in it the next day, hahah!

A beautiful day for a beautiful beach
A day in the South | Tenerife
On another note, I have booked to go to Alicante at the end of the Summer with 20 of my friends and booked to go to Madeira with my bestie Katie!! I am also looking to go to Berlin and hopefully a short holiday with Solly. As you can tell, I want to spend my whole Summer abroad ahah!
SOPLEY FARM – PICK YOUR OWN
Is it halloween season if you don’t pick your own pumpkin? Today my friends and I went to Sopley farm in Christchurch where you are able to go and pick your own pumpkin. In the Summer it turns into a strawberry farm and in the Winter you are able to cut your own Christmas tree. I never really get into Halloween, I never get that dressed up or decorate my house, I just never understood the point. But this year has been so much fun! Although I’m not actually going out on Halloween, I spent the whole weekend dressed up with my friends.
Maybe next year I will make more of an effort, who knows.
Saturday 29th September
The last festival of the season. It is now officially autumn and I have woken up the morning to floods of rain outside my front door. Luckily for us, on this Saturday the sun was shining bright. I was able to wear my new Motel Rocks dress without worrying about the cold. I have never bought anything from Motel Rocks before, this is my first item of clothing and I love it. I bought a leopard print, flowing dress that has a long slit up the side of my leg. I have never owned anything that was leopard print before but I loved this pattern because it was a big print rather than really small.

Love Saves The Day
Boundary is a festival in Brighton that I have never been to before, but I would definitly recommend. It is a great way to end the Summer!!
Dress – TopShop
This is literally my favourite dress at the moment, it was a very spontaneous buy and different to what I would normally wear as I don’t think I have ever owned anything orange because of my blonde hair. But it works so I would recommend!!
Saturday 21st July
On Saturday my best friend Katie – KT – from University came to visit me in London. She only lives in Gatwick so it is not far for her so she had to come to London for the day while I was here!
I decided we should go to Notting Hill as neither of us had been there before and I heard it is a very funky place. When we got off the underground at Notting Hill station we were so confused. I kind of assumed that when we got there the market would be on our doorstep but I was completely wrong. We found a farmers market and I just assumed that this is all there was, so we stopped at had an early lunch at Zizzis – not very adventurous of us.
We were sat there for quite a long time because we had sooooooo much to catch up on. You have probably seen KT on my blog before on my blog but she is my flat mate from University and we had not seen each other for around 2 months. Going from seeing each other to not seeing each other at all meant we had too much to talk about, but you will definitely be seeing more of her on here very soon.
Before we were about to get the Underground to Chelsea to go ‘Made in Chelsea’ star spotting, I suggested that we just walk a bit further past the station and see what we find. LUCKILY, us venturing out meant we found the huge market and it was so much fun. As you can see from the pictures Notting Hill is filled with flowers, colour and pretty houses.
After walking right to the end of the market (there are a lot of stores) we thought it was best to start making our way to a station to get to Chelsea. Little did we know… that a lot of the stations shut between 2:00PM – 5:30PM on a Saturday and a Sunday to stop traffic – LONDONERS PLEASE TAKE THIS IN!! So after walking miles, we just decided to get a bus to Camden. By the time we had settled down it was time for KT to go back home 😦
Sorry I have been a bit MIA, been super busy trying to make the most of my time in London with friends, my cousins and just making sure I explore!
Monday 2nd July
We all spent out last day on Berlinga Island, a tiny island off the coast of Portugal. At 2:00PM we caught a boat over the crazy seas. My dad and brother were desperate to try out the surfing while we were away but unfortunately the waves were never big enough, but typically we choice to get a boat over the ocean on a day where the waves are crazy. It was a very windy boat ride, ahahaha! But at least it was only a 20 – 30 minute ride.
When we got there none of us could believe it. It seemed as if people were on holiday there, with girls washing in the sea, a tiny beach, boat everywhere, it was a completely different culture and was very interesting!
First of all we walked to the castle on the other side of the island. It was right over the hills and down hundreds of steps. My mum, sister and I did not come prepared when we wore flip – flops and carried huge handbags. When we got there we had a look around, a quick drink before heading back to the little beach. I was desperate to go snorkelling.
Unfortunately, when my cousin, Jack and I went snorkelling we did not see many fish but we did climb into a cave. It had its own private beach inside but the waves were crashing in so heavily that I got scared.
If you are staying near Lisbon in Portugal I would recommend spending the day at Berlinga Island, it is a great experience and beautiful place.
